SUPPORT TO UKRAINE

In my articles, I discuss topics other than wars and geopolitics. On this particular occasion, though, I only wanted to write about a country that is being invaded by Russia, which was once an ally but is now its fiercest adversary. I will not explain the causes of the conflict in this post, but rather reflect on what is happening to a European country fighting for its freedom against a military superpower with significantly more resources and equipment than Ukraine.

According to numerous sources, more than 2 million Ukrainians have fled the nation because of the many clashes that have occurred on their soil. Many families have been torn apart as a result of a conflict that no one expected or wanted. We are fortunate in that most of us have never been through such a traumatic event. Could you image being forced to flee your home, your parents, and your homeland due to a lack of humanity? There are numerous contradictory economic and global power assumptions in this conflict. The fact that the future of Ukraine is in the hands of powerful political figures and governments is rather disappointing.

Because of a fight begun by someone I won't name for obvious reasons, many large cities have been destroyed, and citizens and troops have died. This man has no right to be president of any country. Our present political leaders and administration, in my opinion, have not learnt the lessons from prior significant wars and military conflicts. Hatred, poverty, grief, and devastation are the only things that remain after a war.

All I can do for Ukraine is offer my support and hope that this crisis will end soon, allowing divided families to reunite, schools, houses, and structures to be restored, and Ukrainians to become stronger and continue their progress as a leading and modest nation. I'm sending out a message of peace and optimism. Ukraine is not deserving of what is taking place on its soil. I understand the vitriol and revulsion directed towards this controversial character and Russia by people all around the world. This is not a Russian-Ukraine conflict. This is a battle between Ukraine and a small group of people who govern the decisions that Russia must take.

This conflict has lasted for years, with independent regions declaring themselves to be more Russian than Ukrainian. This kind of movement may be found all around the world. Catalonia in Spain, Corse in France, and a host of others come to mind. Other nations' funding of paramilitary organisations seeking self-sufficiency is exceptional. In this position, the Ukrainian government is opposed by those regions where Russian is widely spoken, which is generally only a tiny percentage of these territories.

Finally, I extend my sincere condolences to the families who have suffered as a result of this barbaric conflict. This blog is about global racism and prejudice. This issue, however, must be taken into account. This is a once-in-a-lifetime event that poses a serious threat to humankind. This conflict should educate us that we are not progressing as global citizens, and that the peace that we all thought we enjoyed has been disrupted.

ANTI-TURKISH SENTIMENT IN GERMANY

Languages and language discrimination were the subjects of my earlier articles. Today's post will address racism, which goes beyond different types of biases based on language disparities. This type of behavior blames or severely criticizes not just one's culture, but also one's skin color and appearance. WHAT IS ANTI-TURKISH SENTIMENT? Anger, intolerance, or prejudice aimed towards Turks, their culture, and their language is known as anti-Turkish sentiment (Turkish: Türk düşmanl) or Turkophobia (Turkish: Türkofobi). The term refers to anti-Turkish sentiment directed not just towards Turks everywhere, but also at Ottoman subjects and descendants of ethnic Turks, such as Syrian and Iraqi Turkmen. It is also credited to smaller ethnic groups in the Balkans, such as Albanians, Bosniaks, and others, who grew up under the influence of Turkish culture and customs while adopting to Islam, particularly under the Ottoman Empire. EXAMPLES OF RACISM TOWARS TURKS IN GERMANY? Several ac...
